In December 2025, Jennifer presented a full-length lecture to the Seattle Weavers’ Guild on the history, evolution, and preservation of traditional Turkish hand weaving.

The talk traces weaving from its deep cultural roots through the centuries of industrial pressure that nearly erased it, and into the modern reality of sustaining living weaving communities today. Drawing on over 16 years of on-the-ground work in Türkiye, the presentation connects technique, material knowledge, and stewardship with real-world application.

This lecture reflects the educational foundation behind Jennifer’s Hamam — not as a brand exercise, but as an ongoing commitment to keeping endangered textile knowledge alive through practice, teaching, and direct support of master weavers.
